Examples of types of media used throughout the experience/game/narrative:

  • AR

    • Filters are accessed via Instagram and are usually given via a QR code

    • site-specific AR requires the artivive app

  • IRL clues

    • Stickers or wheatpastes accompanying already present murals/streetart (with the permission of the establishment it is near, unless this is an underground ARG)

    • Flyers at cafes

    • Clues left with participating establishments and their employees

  • Video

    • Interactive video: given object(s) with the previous clue and QR code for the video (similar to ‘find that thing’). You are supposed to find the object in the video and click it. The end of the video should tally up what you found and give you links for each. You choose which link to end up following (you can go back and choose another link at any point of the experience)

    • Interactive narrative video: given a short video, with a binary choice at the end

  • Websites

    • Mini-games,  experiences, or text and images to guide you to the next clue
